Now we return to culture. But the question has shifted. It’s no longer how we analyze culture (ch. 2) but how we, as missional churches, engage it. How should the post-Christendom church relate to culture? The legacy of Christendom looms so large that it’s hard to imagine an alternative. This chapter dares to offer an answer, one that sets missional ecclesiology apart from the vast majority of Western church practices.
